How to choose a LED light

LED lighting is being more and more popular because of its advantages like energy-saving, long lifespan, no radiation and wide range of operating voltage. However, without a perfect industry standard, some so called LED Technology Companies just buy accessories and chips from outside and then package them together as if they are developed their own. That’s why LED products vary so much. So how to choose a quality LED?
First, we should pay attention to its package and brand.

Our nation has strictly required that, parameters as follow must be marked on the package: rated voltage, range of voltage, rated power and rated frequency. Generally speaking, the brand of quality goods is clear and not easy to shed. Some brands are even curved on the lamp body.
Second, we should watch the lamp’s appearance.

Put several LED lamps together, if they have a good consistency in shape and dimension, that always means that the products are mass-produced by machine. Then the quality will be more reliable and lamps be easier to replace. While installing, the base should not be loose or tilted. For the lamp shell, they must be made of engineering plastics, mostly in PC. It’s easy to identify it from common plastics for engineering plastics always has a matte texture while the common one is smooth and glossy.
Third, we should notice the lamp’s temperature while working.

LED lamps should stay in a very low temperature while working, or its lifespan will be shortened. Meanwhile, if the light flicks or fluctuates while starting, those are signs to caution you that this product has some quality problems.

 

Forth, we should pay attention to its starting performance.

There are two characteristics while LED starts: first, higher temperature, easier to start; second, the light will not flick when being turned off. For others, if the light is dim while starting, that will also shorten the life of lamp.
Fifth, we should observe the interference.

In our nation, electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) is a testing item that all the electrical equipments must pass. We can identity this through observing its marks and certificates. Or we can put a radio around the lamp while it’s working. Lower noise the radio makes, better quality the lamp is.
